Relationship to PPS 7 and Corner Site Treatment
This policy complements PPS 7 requirements for large sites including range of densities and building forms. Corner sites should contain specifically designed buildings to add to visual variety and house type mix.
This policy will complement PPS 7 which already advises that on large sites a range of densities, building forms and a mix of house types will be required to help enhance quality and sustainability. In addition, it indicates that particular care will be required in the treatment of corner sites within housing layouts and that these should contain specifically designed buildings. Such corner sites provide potential for landmark buildings which can add to the mix and variety of house types and sizes within a residential development.
