Development Plan Process for Social Housing
The development plan process is the primary vehicle for facilitating identified social housing needs through zoning land or key site requirements, and planning agreements may be used to secure social housing proportions where need is established.
The development plan process will be the primary vehicle to facilitate any identified need for social housing by zoning land or by indicating, through key site requirements, where a proportion of a site may be required for social housing. Where appropriate, planning agreements may be used to secure a proportion of social housing in new development, where a need has been established.
