Living Over the Shop - Car Parking and External Alterations
Car parking provision should be flexible based on individual circumstances. External alterations for conversion to residential use must be in keeping with the host building and surrounding character in design, scale, and materials.
A flexible approach will be applied to car parking provision having regard to the circumstances of each case.
Where external alterations are proposed to facilitate the conversion of existing premises to residential use these will only be permitted where they are in keeping with the host building and the character of the surrounding area in terms of design, scale and use of materials.
