Criteria for Promoting Higher Density Housing
Development plans should prioritize higher density housing on inner urban sites linked to public transport, mixed-use locations, and main distributor roads that support urban regeneration.
Particular attention should be paid to promoting higher density housing on sites that meet the following criteria:
• inner urban locations;
• linked to public transport and adjacent to public transport corridors;
• potential mixed use sites with opportunity for integration with employment and other services; and
• appropriate locations on main distributor roads contributing to urban regeneration.
