Housing Planning Policy Principles
Housing planning policy is underpinned by principles to widen housing opportunity and choice, improve the supply and quality of housing, and promote sustainable development.
The principles that underpin housing planning policy, outlined in the RDS, include the need to:
• widen opportunity and choice;
• improve the supply and quality of housing; and
• promote sustainable development.
