Regional Scale Waste Treatment Facilities
Regional scale waste treatment facilities require applicants to demonstrate that proposed locations relate to key transport corridors and, where practicable, make use of alternative transport modes.
Regional scale treatment facilities depend on a large throughput of materials, often generating a substantial volume of traffic, which may be a significant environmental issue. As a result, applicants will be required to demonstrate that the proposed location relates to key transport corridors and, where practicable makes use of the alternative transport
