Specifies the minimum fire resistance periods in minutes for structural elements and components in car parks, differentiated by basement depth and building height, and between open-sided and enclosed car parks for light vehicles.

Purpose group of building: 7 (b) car park for light vehicles – (i) open sided car park(7): Basement storey more than 10 m depth - Not applicable; Basement storey not more than 10 m depth - Not applicable; Ground or upper storey not more than 5 m - 15*$(8); Ground or upper storey more than 5 not more than 11 m - 15*$(8); Ground or upper storey more than 11 not more than 18 m - 15*$(8); Ground or upper storey more than 18 not more than 30 m - 15*$(8); Ground or upper storey more than 30 m - Not applicable. (ii) any other car park: Basement storey more than 10 m depth - 90; Basement storey not more than 10 m depth - 60; Ground or upper storey not more than 5 m - 30*; Ground or upper storey more than 5 not more than 11 m - 60; Ground or upper storey more than 11 not more than 18 m - 60; Ground or upper storey more than 18 not more than 30 m - 90; Ground or upper storey more than 30 m - 120#.
