Substitution of paragraph 1.4 on fire safety management assumptions
Clarifies that Building Regulations assume adequate fire safety management but do not impose management requirements themselves; fire safety management is controlled by separate legislation including the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 and Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010.
Delete paragraph 1.4 and substitute –
"1.4 The provisions of this Technical Booklet have been written on the assumption that fire safety in the building concerned will be adequately managed. Building Regulations do not impose any requirements on the management of a building. Fire safety management is controlled by other legislation such as the Fire and Rescue Services (Northern Ireland) Order 2006 and the associated Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 deemed to be relevant premises."
