Loading bay exits - wide bay
A wide loading bay with space for 3 or more vehicles must have either two exit points (one at each side) or one exit point plus a refuge, to allow people to avoid being struck or crushed by vehicles.
A wide loading bay (with space for 3 or more vehicles) should be provided with at least – (a) two exit points, one at each side; or (b) an exit point and a refuge, which people can use to avoid being struck or crushed by a vehicle.
