Guarding height and resistance requirements
Guarding at specified locations must meet minimum height requirements and be capable of resisting a horizontal force of specified magnitude applied at 1100 mm height, regardless of the actual height of the guarding.
Guarding which is provided at the locations given in Table 5.1 column (1) should be –
(a) of a height not less than that given in column (2); and
(b) capable of resisting the horizontal force given in column (3) applied at a height of 1100 mm irrespective of the actual height of the guarding (see Diagram 5.1).
