Measurement of guarding height
Guarding height is measured vertically from floor, landing, ramp surface or pitch line of a flight, with an exception for balustrades at landing tops which may be continuous with and at the same angle as the balustrade guarding the flight or ramp.
The height of guarding should be measured vertically from the level of a floor or landing, the surface of a ramp or the pitch line of a flight.
However, the top of a portion of any balustrade guarding a landing at the top of a flight or ramp, may be continuous with, and at the same angle as, the top of a balustrade guarding that flight or ramp.
