Construction of ramps
Ramp surfaces must be firm, slip-resistant, and visually distinct from landings. The ramp and landings should have similar surface frictional characteristics.
The surface of a ramp should – (a) be firm; (b) reduce the risk of slipping; and (c) be distinguishable, through suitable visual contrast, from that of its landings. A ramp and its landings should have similar surface frictional characteristics.
