Strategic Policy 2.4: Employment Development in Smaller Settlements and Countryside
The Council will not designate employment sites in smaller settlements but will support appropriately scaled industrial and business development there, and will also support sustainable economic growth in the countryside in accordance with Policy DM 2.
The Council does not intend to identify sites for employment-related developments in the smaller settlements of our Borough in the interests of flexibility. Industrial and business development proposals in these places will be encouraged provided they are appropriate in scale, nature and design to their location. The Council will also support sustainable economic growth in the countryside where this accords with Policy DM 2.
