Width of flights in private stairs and common stairs
Minimum unobstructed widths are specified for flights in private stairs and common stairs in blocks of dwellings, with different requirements depending on the type of access provided.
The minimum unobstructed widths for a flight, in a private stair and a common stair in a block of dwellings, are given in Table 3.2 and should be measured in accordance with Diagram 3.4.
