Vehicle Loading Bays Performance Requirements
Loading bays must be provided with adequate exits or refuges to enable people to avoid being struck or crushed by vehicles.
It is the view of the Department that the requirements of regulation 58 in Part H will be met if, in order to reduce the risk to the safety of people in or about buildings, loading bays are provided with an adequate number of exits or refuges which enable people to avoid being struck or crushed by vehicles.
