Outdoor Seating and Furniture for Pubs and Nightclubs

Pubs and nightclubs may propose outdoor seating on public pavements; planning applications must include details and drawings, and the pavement owner must be notified.

Pubs and nightclubs may propose to include outdoor seating and furniture to the front of their premises (on a public footpath), to enable customers to eat and drink outside. Details and drawings of such areas should be included within any planning application. The owner of the pavement will also have to be notified as part of the application submission.
