Extraction and Odour Abatement Systems Requirements

Restaurants, cafés and hot food takeaways must install appropriate extraction and odour abatement systems to effectively disperse and reduce odours. Planning applications must include details of proposed extraction systems and odour control measures along with an odour risk scoring assessment in line with relevant EMAQ+ guidance.

Restaurants, cafés and hot food takeaways must install appropriate extraction and odour abatement systems to effectively disperse and reduce odours. Details of the proposed extraction systems and any additional odour abatement controls should be included with any planning application along with an odour risk scoring assessment in line with relevant EMAQ+ guidance to demonstrate how the level of odour control has been determined.
