Noise Impact Assessment Requirement
Applications for restaurants, cafés and hot food takeaways must demonstrate adequate noise mitigation to protect residential amenity, and a Noise Impact Assessment is required when the use is located on an arterial route and in close proximity to residential units.
Further to this, applications for restaurants, cafés and hot food takeaways should demonstrate how noise will be adequately mitigated so as to not adversely impact residential amenity. Where an application for a restaurant, café or hot food takeaway is located on an arterial route and in close proximity to residential units, a Noise Impact Assessment will be required to accompany the proposal.
