Exception for City Centre and District/Local Centres

Hot food takeaways within 400m of schools are exempt from opening hours restrictions if located in Belfast city centre or a district/local centre and can demonstrate no harm to centre viability or neighbouring amenity.

The only exception to this approach will be where the proposal is within Belfast city centre, or a district or local centre and can demonstrate that the introduction of such a use will meet all other relevant recommendations, such as the proposal will not harm the vitality or viability of a centre, and will not result in an adverse impact upon neighbouring amenity.
