Commercialised Radial Routes and Hot Food Takeaways
Proposals for restaurants, cafés and hot food takeaways on arterial routes are subject to the same considerations as district and local centres to avoid proliferation along such routes.
Many urban areas contain commercialised radial routes, which have many similarities with district and local centres, in terms of scale and function and in the variety of shops and local services. In order to avoid proliferation of restaurants, cafés and hot food takeaways along arterial routes, proposals for these establishments on such routes will be subject to the same considerations as those applicable to district and local centres.
